    Why Traditional Sales Training Doesn't Work   

    Have you ever gone to or sent your sales people to a one, two or three day sales seminar? What usually happened? If you were like most, you were energized, motivated and of course, entertained. But, what happened next? For most, the hoped for results never materialized. Sure, you may have seen a short term spike in sales, but then things reverted back to how they were. Why do you think that was? Like mastering anything in life it takes time, effort, repetition and positive reinforcement. Old habits have to be eliminated and new ones learned. Common sense would tell you that you wouldn’t go from a golf handicap of twenty to a five handicap after only a two day seminar. Why expect that you and your people will become sales superstars in the same amount of time.
